Eye Care Coverage, Explained Clearly

At Greenway Vision Studio, care decisions come first. Insurance is applied second. The practice accepts a range of vision and medical insurance plans and helps patients understand how benefits apply—without allowing coverage to determine the standard of care.

This approach is designed for patients who value clear guidance and thoughtful decision-making in eye care.

How Insurance Works at Greenway Vision Studio

Clinical recommendations are made based on what best supports long-term vision and eye health. Once an eye care plan is established, the team explains how insurance benefits may reduce out-of-pocket costs.

Insurance is commonly applied to:

  • Medically focused eye care

  • Contact lens evaluations and fittings

  • Specialty lens services

  • Eyewear and premium lenses

Benefits are reviewed before the visit whenever possible so expectations are clear.

Vision Plans

Medical Plans

Vision vs. Medical Insurance

Vision and medical insurance serve different purposes. Vision plans typically apply to eyewear and routine eye care services, while medical insurance applies when care involves eye health, disease, injury, or sudden vision changes.

The team explains which type of coverage is likely to apply and how your plan typically responds. If a plan is out of network, options are discussed clearly.

Our Approach to Pricing

Financial expectations are discussed upfront. When a service or lens option is not fully covered, costs are explained before decisions are made.

Premium eyewear, specialty contact lenses, and myopia management are presented as long-term investments in vision, not quick or discount solutions.

How to Use You HSAs & FSAs

HSAs and FSAs offer tax-advantaged ways to pay for qualified eye care expenses, including:

  • Prescription glasses and lenses

  • Contact lenses

  • Specialty and medically necessary care

FSA funds typically expire at year-end, while HSA funds roll over. The office provides itemized receipts for reimbursement or records.
