Where Eyewear Is Selected With Intention

Our North Raleigh optical is built for patients who value craftsmanship, careful measurement, and lenses that perform as well as they look. Each consultation combines refined frame selection with doctor-guided lens design to create glasses that feel intentional from the first wear

The Difference Is in the Details

Most glasses are sold. Ours are fitted.

A professional eyewear consultation accounts for how you use your eyes every day. From reading, driving, working, and extended screen time and aligns frame structure, lens geometry, and measurements accordingly.

Small differences in millimetres determine:

  • How easily progressive lenses adapt

  • How stable peripheral vision feels

  • Whether strain develops by the end of the day

  • How consistently clarity holds across visual zones

These details are not incidental. They are the difference between “good enough” and truly comfortable glasses.

Frames With Structure, Not Just Style

Our collections include Tom Ford, Gucci, Oliver Peoples, Lindberg, Ray-Ban, and Maui Jim, selected for craftsmanship and structural integrity.

But brand is not the point.

We evaluate how a frame:

  • Supports your prescription

  • Manages lens thickness

  • Distributes weight across the bridge and temples

  • Maintains stability throughout the day

Style is considered. Fit is engineered.

Lenses Built Around How You Live

Lens design determines how glasses truly perform.

We offer advanced technologies including:

  • Full Custom Digital Progressives mapped to your specific measurements

  • Digital Single Vision Lenses optimized for clarity and distortion control

  • Occupational Computer Progressives designed for extended desk and screen work

  • Stellest Lenses for appropriate pediatric myopia management

No lens is recommended by default. Each is selected based on how you use your eyes in real life.

Engineered With Shamir Digital Lens Technology

We partner with Shamir, a global leader in precision lens design, to build lenses mapped to your specific measurements and visual demands.

Shamir’s digital technology allows for:

  • Personalized progressive transitions

  • Optimized clarity in single vision designs

  • Reduced peripheral distortion

  • Greater adaptation comfort

Rather than selecting from standardized templates, lenses are calculated using your exact prescription data and frame measurements. This allows eyewear to function as a coordinated optical system.

Performance Enhancements That Matter.

Depending on your visual demands, we may recommend:

  • Premium Anti-Reflective Coatings for improved night clarity

  • Blue Light Anti-Glare Coatings for digital comfort

  • Transitions® Light-Adaptive Lenses for seamless light changes

  • Avulux® Light-Filtering Lenses when sensitivity warrants it

Every enhancement is explained clearly so you understand its purpose and when it is unnecessary.

Avulux® Precision Light-Filtering Lenses

For patients who experience light sensitivity or migraine-related visual discomfort, we offer Avulux® lenses, a precision light-filtering technology that selectively blocks specific wavelengths associated with discomfort while allowing comfortable, functional vision.

Unlike generic tinted lenses, Avulux lenses are engineered to filter targeted light bands without distorting color perception. This allows patients to function normally in indoor and outdoor environments while reducing light-triggered symptoms.

Avulux is discussed carefully during consultation when clinical findings and symptoms suggest it may be appropriate. It is not recommended broadly, only when it serves a meaningful purpose.

Measured to the Millimetre

Optical center alignment and segment placement directly affect comfort and adaptation. During your consultation, measurements are taken carefully to ensure lenses perform as designed.

This precision supports:

  • Smoother adaptation

  • Reduced distortion

  • Long-term visual comfort

  • Stability across reading and distance zones

This is where most retail optical shortcuts occur. We do not shortcut.

Optical Expertise, Backed by Medical Judgment

While the consultation centers on optical design, it is guided by clinical expertise. Patients with evolving prescriptions, light sensitivity, or progressive myopia benefit from having an experienced optometrist oversee lens decisions.
